Member Update

To my fellow CCDL members –

This week we have all witnessed the horrible carnage committed by a mass murdering individual. With no respect for the lives of his victims, he went on a rampage that lasted for 10 minutes. Predictably, before all the victims were evacuated or any facts known, politicians were clamoring for more gun restrictions.

We are certain that we will be facing an untold variety of gun control proposals at the state, federal, and even local level. While we mourn for the victims of this senseless and violent act, the gun control lobby is already hard at work. They're working day and night to use this horrific event to further their agenda of restricting your rights. While we wait and see what legislators bring forth, we will undoubtedly need the effort and support or our members in the very near future.

This Tuesday evening at our monthly meeting in Middletown at 7:00pm, CCDL will take a moment of silence for those murdered and injured in Las Vegas this past week. Whether you can join us in person or not, we ask that you pause for a moment at 7:00pm in solidarity.
Come join us as we plan to continue the fight for our rights.

Scott Wilson – CCDL President

Elections – November Meeting Cancelled

The November 8th election is an important one for gun owners, especially here in Connecticut. It is imperative that all CCDL members and supporters vote for pro2A candidates in this election. This election is so important, that WE HAVE CANCELLED OUR NOVEMBER 8th MEETING.  We ask that our members use the time they would have spent attending the meeting to help out one of our endorsed candidates instead.

There are also still plenty of opportunities to help pro2A candidates get elected.
Candidates still need people to help wave signs, work the polls, and various other last minute tasks that can mean the difference between winning and losing. Check out CCDL’s list of endorsed candidates, find one or two in your town or close by, and volunteer to help. It’s fun, it’s easy, and it’s great being around like-minded people. Be sure to tell them CCDL sent you!

This is our big “kick-off” meeting for the New Year. Your help is needed!

Meeting Agenda

  • CCDL will conduct our yearly Legislative Workshop. This includes a PowerPoint presentation and informational handouts to prepare our membership for any gun control bills that may emerge this session. The 2016 session convenes February 3rd and adjourns May 4th. This is both educational and informative. The only way to defeat new gun control proposals is by gun owners engaging our legislators.

  • Discussion on 2016 elections and how we all can make a difference.
