Action Alert

We NEED EVERYONE to contact your State Representative and State Senator. The anti-gun movement is out in full force, and their paid lobbyists are working very hard to get these bills called on the house floor.

We need every second amendment supporter to call and ask to speak with their State Rep. and State Senator. Be polite and professional. Leave a message and ask that they call you back.

Find your State Representative and State Senator and then select their name to find their contact information.

Legislators NEED to hear from us. They need to know how their constituents want them to vote, and need to hear your voice. This is an election year, your legislators work for you! Everyone needs to take action to preserve your freedom here in Connecticut.

Ask the legislators to:

Vote NO on H.B. 5540 AN ACT CONCERNING GHOST GUNS

Vote NO on H.B. 5542 AN ACT CONCERNING BUMP STOCKS AND OTHER MEANS OF ENHANCING THE RATE OF FIRE OF A FIREARM

Vote YES on H.B. 5539 AN ACT CONCERNING FIREARMS IN STATE PARKS

A few weeks ago, the Judiciary Committee voted these bills out of the committee and are closer to being called on the House floor. To see how the committee members voted on these bills follow the links:

H.B. 5540 AN ACT CONCERNING GHOST GUNS

H.B. 5542 AN ACT CONCERNING BUMP STOCKS AND OTHER MEANS OF ENHANCING THE RATE OF FIRE OF A FIREARM

H.B. 5539 AN ACT CONCERNING FIREARMS IN STATE PARKS

Time is limited. You need to take action now before it’s too late!

If you have any questions about these bills, feel free to email CCDL’s Legislative Coordinator, Ray Bevis legislative@ccdl.us

  1. I would suggest telling legislators that until they stop passing laws related to guns that you will not convict anyone of any crime until action on gun laws stop and PA13-3, 53a-202, etc are all repealed.

They clearly don’t really care about taking away your gun rights. How much are they willing to sacrifice for it?

And it would void all these stupid gun laws too.

  2. As for the “ghost gun” need to serialize. Never provide the government with a list of your guns if you can help it, That’s plain stupid, for obvious reasons. As for the ghost gun bill. if you wanted to make a single shot AR for example, just take the 80% lower out of state with your drill and a bit and drill out part of the pocket of the fir control group – at that point in time you have made the gun. In another state so CT law does not apply,

Then bring your newly made gun back home and put it under your pillow, by your bed, where ever. CT law not violated, no need to contact DESPP, all the ghost gun bill’s provisions are meaningless to a gun you made out of state.

If arrested, keep your mouth shut. On cross of their first witness ask “where was this gun made?” They’ll say “We don’t know.” …motion to acquit, case over.

They won’t even know when it was made unless you stupidly tell them.

My suggestion? Buy a few AR lowers and drill a hole out today.
