After some discussion, we’re adding two more proposed bills to our tracking list. Both bills deal with the sale of ivory, which may concern CCDL members since many old firearms used ivory for front sight beads, decorative inlays, or handgun grips. (Many old knives and musical instruments used ivory as well.)

Proposed H.B. No. 6335 REP. URBAN, 43rd DIST. ‘AN ACT PROHIBITING THE SALE OF IVORY AND RHINOCEROS HORN IN CONNECTICUT’, to minimize the illegal trade of ivory and rhinoceros horn, which may fund terrorist activities.
Proposed H.B. No. 6338 REP. BOLINSKY, 106th DIST. ‘AN ACT CONCERNING THE SALE AND TRADE OF IVORY AND RHINOCEROS HORN IN THE STATE’, to prohibit the sale and trade of ivory and rhinoceros horn in the state while preserving the antiques trade in Connecticut.
