Dear Judiciary Committee Member,
As a resident of Connecticut, it has come to my attention that there is a bill being considered this year that will allow police officers to stop and harass lawful permitted gun owners. I ask that you not support a bill that violates the 4th amendment. I ask that you not support H.B. 6200, a bill that will allow police to stop and seize a person for doing nothing unlawful. Lawful gun owners who chose to go through the permitting process, and are found to be suitable, should not be harassed for simply following the laws. Police should not be allowed to Stop & Frisk a person who is doing nothing unlawful.
Thank you in advance.

Dear Judiciary Member,
I live in Connecticut, I ask that you oppose H.B. 6200. This is a STOP & FRISK law, a law that is specifically targeted towards a group of residents because of their personal beliefs and rights. Residents of Connecticut should not be subjected to police harassment when there is no suspicion of a crime.
Please don’t support H.B. 6200 AN ACT CONCERNING THE PRESENTATION OF A CARRY PERMIT.
Thank You,

Honorable Judiciary Committee Member,
As a resident of Connecticut, I ask you not to support H.B. 6200. I ask that you not support any bill that will declare an open season on law abiding carry permit holders. These are the very same citizens that went through the states extensive vetting process and numerous background checks to obtain a carry permit. This bill may now subject these citizens to be stopped, harassed, and identified simply because they’re carrying with their permit.
Thank you for your time,

Dear Judiciary Committee Member,
I’ve learned of a bill being raised by your committee, H.B. 6200. I ask that you not to support this bill. Persons who choose to lawfully arm themselves, go through the permit process, and are found suitable by the state to carry arms should not be considered “armed and dangerous” for the mere fact they are openly carrying their firearm.
Thanks,

Honorable Judiciary Committee Member,
I ask that you oppose H.B. 6200 AN ACT CONCERNING THE PRESENTATION OF A CARRY PERMIT. Carry Permit holders shouldn’t be treated as being engaged in or suspected of criminal activity simply because they’re choosing to exercise their rights in the manner set forth by the state.
Thank you,

Dear Judiciary Committee Member,
As a fellow resident of Connecticut, I implore you to oppose H.B. 6200 AN ACT CONCERNING THE PRESENTATION OF A CARRY PERMIT. People who openly carry firearms are not criminals. They should not be seized by police if they’re not suspected of any crime. This is a direct attack on law-abiding people. I appreciate your consideration.
Sincerely,

Dear Judiciary Chair,
I ask that you OPPOSE the profiling bill H.B. 6200 THE PRESENTATION OF A CARRY PERMIT. This bill allows police to stop, seize, question, and harass a person for no other reason than doing something they believe in and that is lawful. Connecticut police should not be allowed to profile a group of residents for following law. Thank you for your time in advance.
Sincerely,

Dear Legislator,
As a resident of this state, I’m writing you with concern of H.B. 6200. Please OPPOSE this bill, a person openly carrying a holstered handgun, a lawful act in CT, does not give rise to suspicion that the person should be considered dangerous and a criminal.
Thank You!
